BIMI allows domain owners who have implemented strong DMARC protection (p=quarantine or p=reject) to display verified brand logos alongside outbound messages in inbox providers like Gmail and Apple Mail.

BIMI Technical Requirements

  • SVG Tiny 1.2 PS Standard: Logos must be square vector graphics using the tiny-ps profile without external scripts, bitmapped images, or animation tags.
  • Verified Mark Certificate (VMC): A cryptographic certificate issued by a trusted Certificate Authority (DigiCert, Entrust) confirming trademark ownership.
  • DMARC Alignment: Requires 100% policy enforcement (`p=reject` or `p=quarantine` with `pct=100`).
