Unix Epoch Time Architecture & Y2K38 Problem

Unix time (POSIX time) counts the number of seconds elapsed since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970 (the Unix epoch), excluding leap seconds.

Year 2038 Vulnerability (Y2K38)

Systems storing epoch timestamps as signed 32-bit integers will overflow on January 19, 2038 at 03:14:07 UTC (reaching 2,147,483,647 seconds), wrapping around to negative numbers (1901). Modern 64-bit systems extend epoch coverage for 292 billion years.
